Education + Energy = a better future for Tijuana Youth

We had a great meeting on Friday with the founder of a San Diego-based organization called Responsibility (http://www.responsibilityonline.com/), They've built a school and improved the quality of life for some of Tijuana's youth in what Mother Teresa called "one of the world's most destitute" communities, located in and around Tijuana's municipal garbage dump. We'll be traveling to the community during their "back to school" week (first week of September) to plan out the details, but we're most likely looking at a combined methane / solar power installation. This will enable them to drastically lower or eliminate electricity costs, making more funds available for education, supplies and basic needs.
